Priory Court Community Centre
As part of our contribution to Waltham Forest being the very first London Borough of Culture, Priory Court Community Centre will be hosting an exciting new family friendly art event in partnership with Artillery, the local arts organisation behind the E17 Art Trail. “Wonder with Light” invites children and adults to enjoy the spectacular possibilities of light with large-scale hands-on light experiments.
The next dates for our monthly coffee morning alongside the councillor surgery are Friday 1st February, Friday 1st March and Friday 5th April.
In February, citizens advice will be here offering help and advice with any issues with welfare, benefit or debt queries.
Come along if you want to catch up with your ward councillor or just for a cuppa and a chat!
First Event of the new year for anyone who would like to catch up with our local councillors and housing staff, or just enjoy a cup of coffee and some conversation.
Following the successful multisport activity that has been running for younger children across the summer, the centre is now able to take part in a new project to run cricket sessions for a range of age groups on Thursday afternoons and evenings from next week. This is being put on with a number of partners including the National Cricket League, Capital Kids Cricket and the Met Police. The activity will take place in the outside games area and is initially scheduled to run until November. Please click on the link below to view the flyer for more information.

There is a new computer course at Priory Court Community Centre which begins on Monday 29th October, 1:30pm to 3:30pm. The course will run over the duration of 5 weeks and is free of charge. The course will concentrate on topics such as creating and using email accounts, uploading and downloading content, social media and online shopping.
If you are interested in attending this course, please call 0208 531 0380 to book a place.
On Thursday 11th October, 12pm-2pm we will be hosting an Over 50’s open day. The aim is to reach out to the over 50’s in the local area and bring them together with stakeholders with an interest to the over 50’s to show what is available to them. There will be lots of information to take away from the day as well as demonstrations of products and services. Demonstrations include neck and shoulder massages and floristry.
Also on going from this there will be an over 50s afternoon tea every other Monday from October 22nd, 2pm-4pm. This is to try and help fight isolation felt by those over 50 and give them an opportunity to socialise and meet friends.
See our future coffee morning dates taking you through to the end of the year. The coffee mornings run alongside the William Morris ward Councillor surgery so if you have any issues which need raising please do come along. Or if you would like to come along to socialise and meet residents you are welcome to do so.
